I have lived in Hopton village since early childhood and now reside just on the edge of the village boundary. Generations of my family have lived in Hopton and my Great Grandmother taught at our village school.
I hope that through my role as a parish councillor I can make some contribution to the continuing success of our thriving community. I lead on planning and develoment within the parish

Myself and my family have lived in Hopton for 13 years and enjoyed every day spent here. I have been an active member of the community supporting the various local events that take place and for the past 3 years also trying to turn my hand to flower arranging for St Margaret’s annual flower festival. Admittedly I still need several more years training!
I have been recently elected onto the Parish Council. I have chosen to stand as I would like to improve the Parish and make it an even better place to live for all the parishioners.

I have lived in Carsington for 25 years with my wife Pam and my two daughters Sophie & Claire and my dog Winnie. I retired from the Defence Industry towards the end of 2019 in which I worked for over 30 years. We have lived in Derbyshire since we married in 1983 and have always loved the county and in particular the beautiful Peak District. I joined the Parish Council because I want to contribute to the Community in whatever way I can as it has become an important part of our daily lives.
